This trip will be a whole day trip to the Hissar Forthress which is located only 25 km away from Dushanbe city. Hissar fortress served as the former residence of Bek, a deputy of the Bukhara emir. The fortress boasted walls that were 1 meter thick, complete with gun slots for rifles and cannons. Within the fort, there was a garden and a water pool. Stairs and brick terraces once led to the main entrance, but unfortunately, they have been lost to time, along with the palace building. The only remaining part today is the monumental gates constructed of burnt bricks, featuring two cylinder towers and a lancet arch between them. This architectural style is characteristic of many buildings in Bukhara dating back to the 18th and 19th centuries. Total duration of the trip is 8 hours.
