 The Narikala Fortress

One of the attractions of Georgia is the Narikala Fortress in the center of Tbilisi, on Mount Mtatsminda, which is one of the most famous sights of Georgia – the oldest fortress Narikala. Narikila Fortress means ‘impregnable’. Here is an excellent observation deck, which offers an excellent view of the centre of Tbilisi.

Vardzija

In Georgia, as a country of majestic mountains, you can see many temples, fortresses and even entire cities carved in the rocks. And so was born another attraction of Georgia – the ancient city of Vardzia. This city was carved in the rocks in the XII – XIII centuries AD

Ananuri Fortress

Ananuri Fortress is built on the bank of the Aragvi River, one of the towers of the fortress which dates to the XIII century. From the fortress you have a beautiful view of the river and beautiful green hills.

Uplistsikhe

Ancient cave city Uplistsikhe. Literally can be translated literally translated as “Fortress of God”. The city has a multi-level structure, and there are many places of worship.

Bridge of Peace

Bridge over the Kura River, in the middle of Tbilisi, in 2010, appeared as a unique structure – a modern bridge across the Kura River. This bridge connected the two banks as two historical epochs. A 130m metal construction, is a spiral of DNA, along the length of the structure of 33 Georgian letters. From the top you can view Batumi city. You will not have to climb the stairs to the top, a high-speed elevator will take you up there. At night, this tower is illuminated.  

Makhuntseti and Tsaritza Tamara Bridge

Makhuntseti is a high waterfall, where water falls from a height of 30m into a canyon. This view is breath taking. Especially for those who are first time in Georgia. Also, near the waterfall there is an arched bridge, built about 900 years ago – during the reign of Queen Tamara. This bridge has a length of 29m and a height of 6m. The bridge is made of fragments of rock.
